Yes. Creating an account, posting and browsing are all free. Free accounts see ads in the feed. GabPRO is an optional paid tier that removes those ads and adds features like higher upload limits.
No. Posts, profiles, groups, video and the marketplace are all public, so you can read the whole site without signing up. You only need a free account to post, reply, follow or sell something.
Neither. A username and an email address is all we ask for. You can post under any name you like, and using a VPN is fine by us.
Yes. Gab sells advertising directly, and free accounts see it in the feed. GabPRO removes feed ads. If you run a business, you can advertise on Gab yourself — including the kind of business other platforms turn away.
Mainly two things: GabPRO subscriptions and advertising sold directly by Gab. The money comes from the people who use the platform rather than from selling your activity to data brokers.
Gab does not sell user data to data brokers. To be straight with you rather than claim there's no tracking at all: advertising on the free tier uses industry-standard measurement, and the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what's collected.
Pornography is prohibited and removed, which is not true of most large platforms. It is still a general social network where adults argue about politics and religion, so treat it as you would any public square.
Google removed Gab from the Play Store in 2017 and Apple removed it from the App Store in 2018. Neither has allowed it back. You install Gab from your browser instead, which means no app store can ever remove it again.
